Hi, I am a "retired" teacher. After many years of teaching in Lutheran schools I am now focusing on my art. I still tutor at a local school though. Just love working with kids.
I love to create many things. If you ask if I do something there is a good chance that I will say, yes I've done it. As a teacher, one of the subjects I loved to teach was art. I liked to open the students' lives to the many disciplines and creativity of art. Because of this I stretched myself also.
Right now I am dabbling in watercolor, pottery, and glass fusion. I don't limit myself to this though; I also love to do crafts. All the things I collected for my classroom are now in my "art room". (My oldest son's bedroom, he's in college. - Actually he moved to the basement years ago.)
The water colors in the photo gallery are some of the work I have done over the last 22 years. (We are working on the color resolution and the security texture.) Yep, it takes me a long time to finish a painting. Though I finished "Sassy Irises" in 10 days. Now that I have more time, I hope to be able to create more.
